Rwandan players Abroad: Kagere shines as Iradukunda returns from injury

It was an exciting weekend for Rwandan players abroad as the likes of Meddie Kagere, and Bryan Ngwabije excelled for their respective clubs whereas Bertrand Iradukunda also made an injury return.

CAF Confederations Cup

Experienced striker Meddie Kagere played full time for Simba SC who went to Niger to draw 1-1 with US Gendarmerie.

Botswana

Striker Bertrand Iradukunda was introduced in the 69th minute as Township Rollers defeated league leaders Gaborone United by a lone goal.

England

Noam Emeran played 64 minutes before being replaced by Garnacho as Manchester United U-23 went away to draw 2-2 with Crystal Palace in the premier league 2.

Portugal

In the Portuguese second tier, Ange Mutsinzi was an unused substitute as his side Trofense lost 3-1 at home to Mafra

Cyprus

Kevin Monnet-Paquet played full throttle for Aris Limassol who lost 2-0 at home to Omonia Nicosia.

France

In the French CFA league, central midfielder Bryan Ngwabije lasted the entire duration in the heart of midfield for Lyon La Duchere as they  went away to draw 2-2 with the second team of Monaco.

Belgium

Midfield enforcer Djihad Bizimana was on the bench for KMSK Deinze who stayed at home and drew 1-1 with SK Lommel.

Midfielder Samuel Gueulette played the final minute of regulation time as RAAL La Louvière maintained their position at the top Belgian second division league with a 2-1 victory over RES Couvin-Mariembourg.

Armenia

Salomon Nirisarike was an unused substitute for FC Urartu who beat Van FC 1-0

Germany

Teenager Jonathan Nsanzimana was not in the match day squad of SSV Ulm who went away to draw 1-1 with RW Koblenz

 Kenya

Goalkeeper Emery Mvuyekure failed to make the match day squad of Tusker FC who were held to a goalless with Ulinzi Stars
