The 2022 edition of the preseason basketball tournament starts today afternoon, with Patriots taking on Tigers in the first game in Group B.

The game kicks off at 8pm at the Amahoro stadium’s outdoor court.

Patriots make Pool B alongside Tigers, APR and Shoot for Stars.

In other games in the men’s category; APR face Shoot for Stars at 6pm and REG will be up against United Generation for Basketball (UGB) at 7pm.

In the women’s fray, REG entertains APR in the opening game at 5pm while The Hoops will face UR CMHS at 4pm.

The matches will be played at Amahoro indoor stadium and on the outside court of Amahoro Stadium.

Last year, Rwanda Energy Group (REG) won the pre-season tournament after beating IPRC-Kigali 67-53 in the final, while in the women's category, IPRC-Huye basketball retained the title after beating The Hoops 71-59.
