Gustave Rukundo alias Gustave Fuel is a new artiste on the block who is set to drop his first debut album dubbed ‘The Lion’s Tears’ under Mugikari Entertainment record label.

The 11-track piece will premiere on February 14, after almost two years of Gustave making music.

Produced by some top Rwandan producers like Ayorush, Kenny VYBS, Kina Beat, the album features the new generation in the industry such as Logan Joe, and Drapp T.

Talking with The New Times, Gustave described his upcoming album as an art which will showcase how beautiful Rwanda is, and a masterpiece that is going to introduce him to the streets.

He said, it’s been two great years of making music but this piece will be released to alert music lovers that I am here and ready to stay.

"I composed these songs on topics other artistes don’t mention in our society which are very impactful in our social life. I also made sure that the message I am giving matches with the style of the song,” he said.

"My main motto on this piece is to share love, light, smile and happiness.”

Early Life

Born and raised in Rwanda, Gustave started music at only seven years old, singing in church worship teams, something that he credits to have developed his interest in making music professional.

In 2011, he started singing in karaokes with a target of making little pocket money at University in Uganda. Returning to Rwanda, Gustave continued attending studio sessions at the same time working as tour guide.

"Early, 2020 when covid-19 reached in Rwanda my job stopped and every business I was trying to start got affected by the pandemic. Spending almost two years without a job was a very stressful and challenging period I have ever passed through which made me return to music and search for a label to sign me” Gustave explains how he returned to the music industry.

 Luckily, Mugikari Entertainment Label signed him and helped him release his first singles in 2021.

Inspired by Charlie Chaplin, Michael Jackson, and Diamond Platnumz, Gustave is the first artiste signed under Mugikari Ent, and has now released three songs under the label.

Some of his released tracks include ‘Crazy Girl’, ‘Am Good’ and ‘Passcode’.
