Etoile suspend four players

Newly promoted Rwanda premier league side Etoile de l'Est have allegedly suspended four of their players after mounting pressure on the management over unpaid salaries.

The players namely; Jimmy Mbaraga, Boniface Didier, David Saibad and Claude Kamoso were asked to stay aside for some time since their incessant pressure and instigating teammates to boycott training until they are paid.

An investigation conducted by this publication found out that the four players missed most of the team’s training sessions this week.

Etoile are said to be in dire financial difficulties at the moment, and have not paid players and staff for the last few months.

The Ngoma-based outfit are 14th on the 16-team league table, with 8 points after 11 matches.
