Local club Rayon Sports and Nyanza District signed a four-year partnership agreement on Friday, January 15.

The deal will see the southern province’s district extending a financial package to the club every year, whereas Rayon and its partners will promote Nyanza as a touristic and investment destination.

"We are pleased to announce that we have signed a 4-year partnership agreement with @NyanzaDistrict,” Rayon announced via their Twitter page.

Rayon, established in 1968, has its roots in Nyanza District and were based there until they moved to Kigali in 1986.

They returned again to Nyanza in 2012 but moved back to Kigali a few months later, after winning the 2012/13 league title.
