How DJ Gulain became Green Ferry’s disc jockey

Born Mugisha Gulain, DJ Gulain started his DJing career in 2017. He used to record mixtapes and upload them on Mixcloud. In December 2018, he heard a new style of Hip-hop music in Rwanda titled ‘Kinyatrap’, and  as a hip hop lover, he got interested and downloaded all Kinyatrap songs and made ‘Kinyatrap Mixtape’, a mix of only Kinya Trap songs.

He uploaded it on SoundCloud and sent it to Green Ferry Music Entertainment Company via email and tagged them on social media as the record label which was pushing the movement of Kinyatrap Music’s artists.

The label appreciated and sent their project manager to meet him in person, something that accelerated his love for Hip-hop.

Later on, DJ Gulain joined Green Ferry Music Entertainment Company as their artistes DJ and is now working on his audio production skills through Green Ferry.
