Rwanda's fashion industry is experiencing a boost from talented designers. Models who continue to shine and to appear in different fashion shows in Rwanda and across the world are also contributing a lot to the fashion industry. 

2021 has been a good year for some of the female models, as they were part of different international runways and got signed under big modeling agencies. Here are some of the promising female models to watch out for in the next 12 months of 2022.

Morella Isheja

The 19-year-old who is currently based in London had a wonderful year as she showcased designs at the Paris Fashion Week, where she appeared in two concerts named Courreges and Giambattista . In 2021, Isheja attended the Miss Rwanda beauty contest and was among the top ten selected at the finals.

Christine Umunezero

Christine Umunezero had an amazing year with her appearance in Shangxhia, Giambattista Valli, Lacoste and AZ Factory at the Paris Fashion Week, she also showcased  designs in Milan,Italy. However, her biggest highlight of the year 2021 was when she opened the Valentino Show in Paris. She couldn't hide her excitement in a post saying "I can't believe this happened to me, I keep going back to my agency's page to check if really it is the word 'opening' I am seeing".

Kentha Kirezi

Kirezi is another promising Rwandan model who is currently based in London.She is signed under  British and  Paris modeling agencies as well as WeBest Models, a local modeling agency co-owned by Franco Kabano.

Jennifer Girukwishaka

Jennifer Girukwishaka was among five female models who appeared at the Paris Fashion Week last year. She appeared in an international runway show for the first time in October in Paris, France. She is under the modeling agencies from Italy,England,France,USA and Uno models based in Barcelona and Madrid.

Ornella Umutoni

Umutoni was also among the five models who presented designs at the Paris Fashion Week. She presented Loewe,Hermes and MIU MIU designs. In December she was styled by Anne Rabeux in Brussels, Belgium. Umutoni is signed under modeling agencies based in the USA,Italy,France, Barcelona and Greece.
