Cape Town Tigers appoint former NBA player Al Harrington as assistant coach ahead of BAL 2022

Al Harrington played for seven clubs during his 16-year career in the NBA.

Cape Town Tigers Basketball Club, South Africa’s representatives in the Basketball Africa League (BAL) 2022, have hired as assistant coach, Al Harrington, an American former professional basketball player.

BAL 2022 tips-off in March.

The 41-year-old Harrington will be assisting Relton Jantjies who is the head coach.

"I plan on bringing 16 years of NBA experience to the organization and the locker room where I expect to have the biggest impact. I have an opportunity to pour all of my knowledge into the12 men we have put together to win the BAL” said Al Harrington on joining the club.
