Rwanda Automobile Club (RAC) is in talks with Dalbit Petroleum to become one of the co-sponsors of the KCB Rwanda Mountain Gorilla Rally scheduled for September 17-19.

The local Automobile Club boss Dismas Kayibanda told Times Sport that they have gone into talks with Dalbit Petroleum.

"We are in talks with Dalbit Petroleum and we hope the deal will be successful. We are set to contact many other companies to come on board as co-sponsors of this year’s KCB Rwanda Mt. Gorilla Rally,” Kayibanda said.

The local automobile club has started searching for co-sponsors after Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) injected $50,000(about Frw.28.8 million) into this year’s Rwanda Mountain Gorilla Rally.

Rwanda joined Kenya Commercial Bank East Africa Rally Challenge which started with the KCB Safari rally early this month in Nairobi with the KCB Kenya Safari Rally.

The second edition of the event will be the Pearl of Africa Uganda Rally on May 1-3 in Kampala before winding up in Kigali with the KCB Rwanda Mt. Gorilla Rally.

This year’s edition will feature the KCB Safari Rally, the KCB Pearl of Africa Uganda Rally and the KCB Mountain Gorilla Rally of Rwanda.
