APR have turned focus to the Rwanda premier league after failing to reach the group stages of the 2021/22 CAF Confederation Cup.

The league champions who have failed to perform well in continental competitions were dumped out of the CAF Confederation Cup on Sunday Renaissance Sportive de Berkane of Morocco.

The army side are sixth in the league with nine points but have games in hand against Etincelles, Gasogi United, Mukura Victory Sports, and Rutsiro FC.

APR is unbeaten in two seasons in both the league and the Peace cup and will be seeking to extend that run starting with Mukura on Wednesday.

The military side has a poor record against North African teams and they have never reached the group stage since they made their debut in continental competitions in 1997.
