Fantasy Music Concert’s first edition for this Saturday

RENOWNED RWANDAN MUSIC BAND Symphony, is set to entertain music lovers in their first mega show dubbed 'Fantasy Music Concert' which will take place at Kigali Convention Centre this Saturday.

The Fantasy Music concert is a show that will be happening regularly according to Etienne Niyontezeho, the head of Symphony Band.

In a previous interview with The New Times, Niyontezeho said that Symphony Band looks forward to hosting more editions of this concert, starting from Ric Hassani to other artistes who will be performing in the next editions.

"It is the first of the many concerts we hope to host. We assure Rwandans that we will be inviting more artistes in the next editions,” Niyontezeho recently said.

Apart from the top Nigerian star Ric Hassani, the show will also feature Rwandan musicians such as Mike Kayihure, Nel Ngabo, Confy, together with Symphony Band.

The singer, real name Eric Ikechukwu Ahiauzu is awaited by many music lovers for his performance that he confirmed on all his social media platforms, where he also shared the track list of songs he will perform.

The track list includes his top hits such as ‘Only You’, ‘Thunder You’, and another song he remixed with Mike Kayihura, renowned Rwandan musicians, dubbed ‘My only Baby’.

Ric Hassani has also been interacting with his fans on his twitter handle, where he described his musical journey and shared some of his songs to help his fans know more about him before attending his show.

Confy, a fast-rising Rwandan artiste who is also set to headline the show, said that the  concert is the right place to start the last month of the year in style.

"We have been making music for over two years. Let's use this December and celebrate the Rwandan music industry which is rising at a good pace. Kigali Arena is the right place to be on December 4th. Come early and we party like never before,” he said.

Confy also promised his fans to deliver his best in performing hits like 'Igikwe', 'Panga' and 'Pole Pole', which made him a household name in Rwanda.

Tickets for the event are available for early birds at Rwf15, 000 for regular, Rwf25, 000 VIP, and Rwf200, 000 for a table of six people with covid-19 test included.

This is one of many shows lined up for this weekend, including the Koffe Olomide concert in Kigali.

However, both show organisers and the revellers have been urged to be cautious, as the world is fighting the new Omicron variant.
