RWANDAN SINGER Prince Mugisha also known by his stage name The Nature on November 20, released his first Extended Play (EP) titled ‘Umva vibe’ as he continues to introduce himself among Rwanda’s renowned RnB musicians.

"My first EP was titled ‘Umva Vibe’ as I wanted to give a vibrant vibe to my fans as well as music lovers at large,’’ the singer shared.

The 22-year-old said he joined the music industry in 2017 with his first hit single ‘Copy’ of which he says it has also been his breakthrough song.

"I had a dream of becoming a musician ever since I was young.  I ventured into the industry for the love of music but also, I wanted to make it something great that I can even make money out of. After joining the industry, my first song I dubbed ‘Copy’ introduced me to the music industry,’’ he said.

I choose to do music because it is the only job I enjoy the most but also I have a dream that I will represent my country one day as the musician who is giving out all of his best,’’ he added.

His ‘Umva Vibe’ EP is composed of five tracks named ‘Slay’, ‘Mfatirana’, ‘Local’, ‘Waitress’ featuring Gabiro Guitar, and ‘Chance’ featured by Ish Kevin of which all of them are audios.

The production was made by Real beat together with Nizbeaz, where both the mixing and mastering was done by Nizbeatz.

"My EP is now available on all streaming platforms. And on my YouTube channel ‘The Nature Rwanda’.  My fans will have trouble picking their favourite song because each song was made uniquely and has its own specialty. It took me time to work on my EP and I am sure my fans will be very impressed,” he says.

Asked why he chooses to feature singer Gabiro guitar and Ish Kevin among others, the singer explained that, "for Gabiro, I didn’t choose him but he just asked me to put his verse in my song as he was helping through all this as my friend. Then, for Ish Kevin he is not only a close friend but also a relative. Despite that I love his music,’’

The singer expressed his gratitude to everyone who contributed to the production and the making of his EP.

"I am grateful to everyone who contributed to make my EP. I am also thankful for the positive feedback from my fans. I love them all and I do all this for them.  I also want to feel their love too as it gives me courage to keep doing better,’’ said Mugisha.

The singer also revealed that even though all the tracks on his album are good but so far, ‘Chance’ which he featured Ish Kevin is his  favourite.

"I first enjoyed working with these talented singers, especially Ish Kevin as I am his greatest fan. ‘Chance’ is a song that calls for girls to love unconditionally without chasing things or money but for pure love,’’ he says.

Talking about his future plans, the singer said that he is growing in the industry and that he will keep doing great things. The singer also says that he is working on the visuals of the tracks on his album which he says he will release by next year.
