Nzeyimana vies for role in African Paralympic Committee

The former president of the National Paralympic Committee Celestin Nzeyimana is vying for the position of Secretary General of the African Paralympic Committee.

The elections will be held in Morocco on October 31.

The announcement was made on Monday following a meeting by the NPC executive committee.

The Rwanda delegation will travel to Morocco on Wednesday ahead of elections.

"We hope he will be voted into the position. He has a lot of experience as both a player and an Administrator,” NPC President Jean Baptiste Murema said.

Nzeyimana played for both the national sitting and standing volleyball teams between 2004 and 2008. He was also head of NPC from 2013-2017.

He was the president of NPC and he was Para Volley Africa Secretary General between 2017-2020.
