University of Rwanda, Rusizi campus handball team will be hoping to end the winning streak of Police when the two sides face off on Saturday at Amahoro indoor stadium in the Coupe du Rwanda tournament.

Police has been the dominant team for more than years after winning the beach handball tournament in Rubavu.

But Xavien Akingeneye who coaches the University of Rwanda, Rusizi handball team said his side is ready for the challenge against Police.

"We want to win this game although it’s not easy, I believe that we can go into the game and win. We are facing a tricky team that has been doing better for years, but we have set our target to win this game,” he added

28 teams are participating in the Coupe de Rwanda tournament in both the men’s and women's categories.
