RENOWNED VIDEO PRODUCTION house, Big Team Production, which has produced considerable music videos in Rwanda, has made a strategic partnership with several local and regional music TV stations to distribute Rwandan music videos, according to a press release.

Big team production is a videography production company known for producing some of the best visuals in Rwanda like ‘Shumelata’ by Platini P, ‘Feel Me’ by Queen Cha and ‘Babahungu’ by Ish Kevin.

According to Bruno Ishimwe, chairman and co-founder of the company, the purpose of this distribution is to support local talents especially diaspora and unestablished artistes, to get more exposure locally, and internationally as promotion of the creative industry.

He said that the service will hypothetically help the upcoming musicians in the country. and diaspora together with those who are far in districts because it will be handled electronically.

"It hasn’t been easy for the artistes to make it into the limelight, because, from the retrospective examples, artistes would need to have a good team to run all the necessary activities for their songs to be successful” said Shema, explaining why this project is a necessity.

"Artistes go through the rigorous cycle of composing, recording the audio, shooting the video, release plans, distribution and promotion plans. These would be onerous tasks to the independent artists who usually don’t have a label or support team to be successful.” he added.

All that it takes to be part of the distribution is to contact the Big Team management, to be shown the requirements of each stations to play the music videos, and with the provision of the authorization to play their video content, they will get to choose how many TV stations that have partnership with Big Team, according to a statement from the officials.

Big team will be working with Citizen TV and Trace Mziki as well as local TV stations including KC2, TV10, Flash TV and many others, while seeking for more international partnership.

It will also follow up the airplays and help artistes get interviews on the mentioned TV stations.
