Mr Eazi in awe of Rwandan chili

Besides business, food could have been one of the most fascinating experiences that Nigerian musician Mr Eazi had during his stay in Rwanda two months ago.

The singer, born Ajibade Oluwatosin, was, in May, on a business visit in Rwanda to explore areas of investment and business opportunities in the country.

Business was on top of the musician’s agenda, but his experience with Rwanda’s homemade food, most especially chili known as Akabanga, left him very impressed.

The Akabanga chili is a product of Sina Gerard Enterprises that operates from Rulindo District in Northern Province.

In a video that he posted on his Twitter account on Thursday, July 22, a 'relaxed' Mr Eazi shows how tasteful Akabanga chili adds to the food after he dips it in sauce.

"Dear Rwanda, thank you for producing Akabanga,” the Nigerian said in a post.

The Akabanga chili maker was, in response, excited about Mr Eazi’s positive feedback and welcomed more international tourists to pass by and order some chili from the company’s online shops for smooth delivery.

"The man himself Mr Eazi said it! If you are in Rwanda, order yours at sinarwanda.rw for international orders, DM us [send us Direct Message],” the company reacted to Eazi's post.

During his visit, which coincided with the inaugural Basketball Africa League in Kigali, Mr Eazi met different government officials, introduced by the officials of Rwanda Development Board (RDB) after discussing with him different investment opportunities available in Rwanda.

It was during the visit that the Nigerian expressed his interest in, among others, building a luxury resort and wellness centre around Lake Kivu, one of the most vibrant tourism destinations in the country, notably in Rubavu District, Western Province.
