Fraudouard Twizerimana,25, a budding young singer, has released a song dubbed ‘Icyomoro n’igihango’, in which he calls everyone to support each other as Rwandans.

The 25-year-old, born in Kirehe says he got the song’s inspiration from Rwandans who put their lives at risk to save Tutsis who were being hunted during the 1994 Genocide.

Twizerimana chose to do music about patriotism and civic education.

"I call upon fellow youth to work hard for our country regardless what the job is, as long as its lawful and pays them. Our elders have done their part by paving a way for us, now it’s up to us to keep up the good work.

"I believe if we put our differences apart and work together us Rwandans we will surely make a great team and develop our country with continuous peace and unity among all citizens,” he told The New Times.

Twizerimana is a brother to Intore Tuyisenge, who is also a singer. He says that they both inherited their talent from their great grandfather who was known for ‘kuvugira Inka’ a cultural ritual done in tradition wedding during introduction and dowry giving.

He also told The New Times that he is working on his second album after the first one, he called Amarembo y’uRwanda that is made of 18 songs which can be found on his YouTube channel.
