The iSQI mission of raising the next generation of IT specialists in Rwanda took another huge step forward through the Beaming Knowledge in Africa initiative with 15 professionals receiving their ISTQB® Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) certificates in a training organized in partnership with the Rwanda ICT Chamber.

The second cohort of the ISTQB® CTFL training in Rwanda was carried out from 14th - 18th June 2021 at the ICT Innovation Center where more than 34 professionals in various tech start-ups benefited from the program.

"This certification is evidence that IT professionals in Rwanda and Africa are able to work according to international standards and it will open up so many opportunities in the future for their personal growth and careers,” said Stephan Goericke, iSQI Group CEO.

The 4-day training gave participants the opportunity to study the internationally accredited syllabus of the ISTQB® CTFL level which mainly focuses on the fundamentals of Software Testing and its importance in today’s world.  Holders of the Foundation Certificate will be able to go on to any desired higher level software testing qualification.

CEO of Rwanda ICT Chamber - Alex Ntale also had great things to say about the partnership's success, thanking the iSQI team with whom they’ve been in discussion since 2019 about organizing certification trainings and exams and now have the first group of beneficiaries from the joint partnership which would be very valuable to whole the ICT ecosystem in Rwanda.

Jean-Claude Bimenyimana who works in Centrika, a software development firm based in Kigali, Rwanda believes that the software testing certification will help him identify the key components in building functional, reliable, and efficient softwares for his clients.
