Editor,

You will be pleased to know that I log on to your website every morning and read your very interesting daily news. Today, however, a certain article I read recently was rather disturbing.

The writer alleged that a certain investor had experienced red tape. I have been in regular touch with officials in Rwanda and have NEVER EXPERIENCED any red tape! On the contrary, they are extremely helpful, co-operative and ever ready to ASSIST.

Perhaps that investor, who is putting up a 5 star hotel in Kigali, should contact the highly efficient and pro-active team at the Rwanda Development Board which have Mr.Francis Gatare and Ms.Clare Akamanzi at the helm.

Both of them have always been very helpful and will surely make sure that whatever ‘ red tape ‘ the investor has experienced so far , will be a thing of the past.

We are currently working on a couple of investors from India, one who is also planning a 3 or 4 Star Hotel / Resort and another who is exploring the possibility of making Rwanda a " HUB " for a central warehouse from where he can service not only Rwanda but East Africa and SADEC also.

Challenges will always be there, but having watched very closely the developments taking place in Rwanda I am confident that there will be no more ‘ red tape ‘ for Emmy or for that matter any other potential investor for Rwanda.

Looking forward to meeting you on my next visit to RWANDA - The Land of a Million Smiles !!

Warmest regards.
