Bangu’s new best friend 

A long time ago in Bwamba Village there was a small boy called Bangu. Bangu was a very lonely boy. He did not have a best friend.

Bangu was the last born in his family and his parents loved him very much. After school Bangu would hurry home to take his father’s cows grazing.

One day, he came across a small puppy. The puppy looked tired and lonely. Bangu took the puppy to his home. His father asked him to name the puppy. Bangu decided to call the puppy Redfox.

Bangu fed Redfox milk and good food.  Bangu shared everything he had with Redfox. Redfox grew to be the strongest and biggest dog in Bwamba Village.

Bangu was really happy with Redfox. All the other village boys were jealous of Bangu’s new friend. This was because Redfox was really good at hunting.

He was faster than the fastest gazelle, antelope even the warthogs in the bush. This made the friendship between Bangu and Redfox so good.

One day after school, Bangu took Redfox with him to graze. When Bangu was busy with the cows Redfox run into the bush.

Bangu looked for Redfox all afternoon but he couldn’t find him.Bangu cried for a very long time for his missing dog.
