Covid-19: Three deaths confirmed, 79 new infections

A total 79 people tested positive for Covid-19 in Rwanda on Tuesday, March 23, according to the Ministry of Health.

On the same day, 96 people recovered from the virus, while three succumbed to it.

So far, overall, the country has confirmed 20,975 Covid-19 cases, whereby 19,310 of these have already recovered.

The Covid-19 death toll in Rwanda stands at 295.

The latest results were obtained from 4,761 sample tests collected in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, Tuesday 5,179 people were vaccinated against Covid-19, bringing the number of inoculated people in the country to 343,723. Majority have received the first jab, with the second expected to be administered in the next few days.
