68 new Covid-19 cases confirmed in Rwanda

A total of 68 people tested positive for Covid-19 in Rwanda on Monday, March 22, according to latest statistics from the Ministry of Health.

On the same day, 34 people recovered from the virus, while two succumbed to it.

So far, overall, the country has confirmed 20,896 Covid-19 confirmed cases, out of which 19,214 have already recovered.

The Covid-19 death toll in Rwanda stands at 292 one year after the first case was registered in the country. 

The latest results were obtained from 3,484 sample tests collected in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, Monday saw 4,006 people vaccinated against Covid-19. 

Since March 5 when the country kicked-off the vaccination exercise, 338,544 people have received jabs.
