Covid-19: Rwanda crosses one million tests

A total of 4,163 Covid-19 sample tests collected in the last 24 hours increased the country's total number of tests to 1,000,505.

The tests were taken from mid-March last year when the Covid-19 pandemic was first confirmed in Rwanda.

Meanwhile, on Friday, February 26, the country reported 136 new infections and 23 recoveries.

For the first time since the beginning of this week, on Friday, no Covid-19 daily fatality was registered. 

Overall, 258 have succumbed to Covid-19 in Rwanda, and the country has confirmed 18,689 Covid-19 cases. Of these 17,302 have already recovered.

Out of the current 1,129 active Covid-19 patients, according to the Ministry of Health's update on the pandemic, 11 are in critical condition.
