Tuesday, February 23, 2021

Rwanda on Monday, February 22, reported 146 new Covid-19 cases and three fatalities linked to the virus.

The latest results obtained from 2,655 sample tests collected in the last 24 hours increased the country's total number of confirmed cases to 18,199.

The death toll stands at 252.

Meanwhile, on the same day, 189 people recovered from Covid-19. Of the current 955 Covid-19 patients country-wide, 13 are in critical condition currently.

According to daily statistics by the Ministry of Health, there is a significant reduction in the number of daily infections and deaths.

Comparatively, these numbers reduced by half in the first 21 days of February compared to the same number of days of January.

However, the Rwanda Biomedical Center (RBC) underscored that the reduction in numbers should not lead to complacency, urging for continued observance of the measures in place to fight the virus.
