Wednesday, February 17, 2021

Rwanda on Tuesday, February 16, registered 350 new Covid-19 recoveries, raising the total number of recovered cases to 15,475.

The tally represents 87.9 percent of the current 17,594 total confirmed cases of the virus. The last time the country recorded such a percentage was last year on December 15, when 88.3 percent of all infections had recovered.

The latest good performance is among others linked to the fact that since January 31, the country reports daily recoveries that are higher than infections.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, 110 people tested positive for Covid-19, and one person succumbed to the virus. So far, Rwanda has registered 240 deaths related to Covid-19.

Also, according to the Ministry of Health, there are 12 Covid-19 patients who are in critical condition.
