Rwanda confirms 190 new Covid-19 cases, three fatalities

A total 190 new Covid-19 cases and three fatalities were reported in Rwanda on Tuesday, February 9.

On the same day, 359 people recovered from the virus. The results were obtained from 4,905 sample tests collected in the last 24 hours.

So far, the country has 16,811 total Covid-19 cases, 12,988 recoveries, and 226 Covid-19 deaths.

According to the Ministry of Health, the new cases were identified in 25 districts of the 30 that make-up the country. Kigali reported the highest number of infections on Tuesday- 54.

Meanwhile, Musanze, Gakenke, Nyaruguru, Rubavu, Gatsibo, Bugesera and Nyabihu districts reported a single Covid-19 case each.

There are 16 Covid-19 patients who are critically ill in local health facilities.
