Rwanda confirms 154 new Covid-19 cases, two fatalities

Out of 4,135 sample tests collected in the last 24 hours, 154 people tested positive for Covid-19 on Thursday, February 4.

On the same day, two people; a 69-year-old woman and a 56-year-old man, succumbed to virus-related cases.

So far, the country has confirmed 15,988 Covid-19 cases, and has registered 210 fatalities linked to the virus.

According to the Ministry of Health, the new cases were identified in 25 districts of the total 30 districts that make up the country. Kigali, as it has been the case for months, reported the highest number of infections- 28.

On the other hand, Ngoma, Gakenke, Bugesera, Gatsibo, Rutsiro, Nyaruguru and Nyabihu districts reported a single Covid-19 case each- the least number of infections confirmed country-wide on Thursday.

So far, there are 17 Covid-19 patients who are critically ill.
