Yesterday was "World Water Day” and celebrations were being held everywhere. The international observance of World Water Day was an initiative that grew out of the 1992 United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED).

Hence the saying that” water is life.”

But the challenge we now face is how exactly man handles this precious resource! The Earth’s water is depleting due to man’s activities like agriculture and industrialisation.

Let us use our water sparingly since we know that we can’t live without it and, in addition, we must ensure that we guard water sources from contamination.

It is everyone’s right to use clean water BUT it is also everyone’s responsibility to conserve water!
