Rwanda reports 62 new Covid-19 cases, majority in Kigali

62 people tested positive for Covid-19 in Rwanda on Monday, December 7.

This is the highest number of daily infections recorded since November 26 when 72 infections were confirmed.

According to the Ministry of Heatlth, of the new Covid-19 cases reported on Monday, 50 were identified in Kigali, seven in Musanze District and three in Rubavu District.

Meanwhile, Ngororero and Rusizi districts reported one Covid-19 infection each.

The new results were obtained from 2,182 sample tests collected in the last 24 hours.

So far, in total, Rwanda has conducted 646,813 Covid-19 tests.

Overall, the country has 6,191 confirmed cases, of whom 5,696 have already recovered.
