Rwanda's Covid-19 death toll hits 50

A 45-year-old man succumbed to Covid-19 in Kigali on Wednesday, December 2, 2020. 

This has raised the country's death toll to 50.

On the same day, 2,467 sample tests were collected country-wide and 46 people tested positive for Covid-19.

Of the new cases, 29 were detected in Kigali, seven in Rwamagana district, four in Musanze district and three in Rubavu district.

Also, Kirehe, Nyagatare and Gakenke districts reported a single Covid-19 each.

In total, Rwanda has confirmed 5,994 Covid-19 cases. Of these, 5,575 have already recovered.

The country has so far conducted 631,598 tests
