Jean Claude Yamuremye, also known as Dr. Claude in the local music industry, is alive, The New Time’s sources have confirmed.

The latest rumour of his death began circulating on Thursday night, last week, as text messages and phone calls from different people went into overdrive, conveying the "sad news” to shocked fans around the country.

A source that rang one the country’s famed birdsongs Miss JoJo on Thursday night, confirmed that the singer was fine and enjoying his evening with friends.

"I just spoke to him and he is absolutely fine. In fact I had just spotted him a few mnutes around town,” Miss JoJo said by telephone.
