The 600 named best feature at the Austria International Film Festival

The 600, a movie that tells the most compelling story of the struggle to liberate Rwandans from the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, has been selected as the best feature at the Austria International Film Festival.

The development was announced on Thursday, November 26.

"We are pleased to announce with gratitude that we have been selected as the best feature at the Austria International Film Festival, " the producers of the film tweeted.

Adding; "The 600 film will be screened when the festival goes live, online worldwide from November 27th -29.”

The Austria International Film Festival is an annual contest that attracts Cinematographers from all over the world.

Winners of the contest are selected based on the number of unique artistic views of the world in Cinema.

In an exclusive interview, Richard Hall the Director and Executive Producer of the 600, welcomed the development, citing that it will ensure that the movie is watched around the world.

"Right now it’s mostly available in the USA on many outlets including Amazon Prime. We are eager for the film to be seen in Europe, especially France and the UK soon.”

Hall explained that owing to the Covid-19 pandemic, the ceremony will be hosted virtually, adding that the movie will be screened on November 27 through 29.

"Like all festivals these past 6 months the Austrian International Film Festival had to go online.  The movie will be screened starting November 27 till 29. Anyone can sign up to view the films at the festival,” he reiterated.

"Thus it is a limited 48-hour window but there will be a larger distribution announcement for the film early next year.” Hall said.
