Rising artiste, u2018Blessed Doddyu2019 is making a comeback in the music scene.

Jean de Dieu Uwihirwe aka "Blessed Doddy” is a Rwandan upcoming artiste based in Finland who longs to take his music to another level.

His interest in music grew in 2018 when he was a member of the Kimihurura based ADEPR church choir.

When he joined high school, he started focusing and dedicating time to music, and recording his first song dubbed "crunk.”

With time, he noticed that music was indeed his calling, and this inspired the writing and releasing of songs like "Catch”, "Rwagadabo”, "Kanyange”, "Far from the eyes” —which featured Henry Hirwa.

"Due to lack of money, I decided to cut back on my music career but fortunately, I am back and in the last few months, I started working on songs that will be part of my first album called "African Love.” The album consists of 12 new songs and is likely to be out by early next year,” he said.

This month, "Blessed Doddy” released a new song titled "Iribagiza” that is part of his new album.

In this song , he portrays the beauty of a lady his heart yearns for and wants to have children with.

Both the audio and video were recorded and shot in Finland, directed by Julien Bmjizzo, while sound was produced by Laser Beat of the Beam beat records studios.

The upcoming singer’s aim is to work harder and bring about an impact to Rwandan music.

His songs are usually inspired by normal life as he writes about what is happening, or what people can relate to because, to him, music is more beautiful when it is real.

His biggest challenge however, is that his music is not yet famous in Rwanda as he hasn’t collaborated enough with the media, being far away from home.

"Blessed Doddy” for now, is using his Instagram and YouTube channel to promote his music.
