Rwanda reports 36 new Covid-19 cases

36 people tested positive for Covid-19 in Rwanda on Wednesday, November 18, raising the tally of the country's positive cases to 5,543.

The results were obtained from 2,392 Covid-19 sample tests taken in the last 24 hours.

Seven of the new cases were detected in Kigali, whereas Gisagara and Nyamagabe districts confirmed nine and 17 cases respectively.

Meanwhile, Karongi and Rubavu reported a single infection and two positive cases respectively.

On the same day, 79 people recovered from the virus. 

In total, 5,087 people have recovered from Covid-19 in Rwanda.

So far, the country's Covid-19 death toll stands at 46.

Currently, 593,977 Covid-19 sample tests have been conducted in Rwanda.
