Rwandan champions have terminated their contract with forward Kevin Ishimwe and is free to look for a new team ahead of next season, the club announced on Friday.

Ishimwe, 25, had joined APR from AS Kigali on a two-year deal in September 2019. He also previously played for Rayon Sports.

The forward was suspended and expelled from the team’s camp last month allegedly for misconduct.

This publication understands that the player was unhappy and reacted angrily to head coach Adil Erradi when he was subbed during a training match at Shyorongi Stadium.

"There is really no place for indiscipline in our club, Kevin (Ishimwe) will not be joining us again,” said Adil Erradi.
