Rwanda registers two more Covid-19 deaths

Two men, one aged 45 and another one 50, succumbed to Covid-19 in Rwanda on Tuesday, November 10, raising the tally of fatalities to four in just two days.

The total count of fatalities attributable to Covid-19 in the country is now 40.

All the four fatalities were reported from Rwamagana district where a prison facility, commonly known as Nsinda recently confirmed 13 Covid-19 infections.

It was not confirmed if any of the fatalities are linked to the prison.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, of 2,974 sample tests were taken from which 20 were found positive for Covid-19.

Of the new cases, 13 were detected in Kigali, three in Muhanga district, two in Rubavu district, and one Covid-19 case in both Rwamagana and Nyanza districts.

Rwanda has so far confirmed a total of 5,262 Covid-19 cases of whom 4, 967 have already recovered.

574,876 tests for the Virus have been conducted so far in Rwanda.

As the country experiences an increase in daily infections and Covid-19 fatalities, the government has warned of severe consequences, including a possible return into lockdown in case violation measures put in place to control the spread of Covid-19 infections continues in the population.
