Rwanda registers 30th Covid-19 death

Covid-19 deaths reached 30 in Rwanda as one person succumbed to the virus on Friday October 9.

According to Rwanda Biomedical Centre's daily update,  the deceased was a 41 year old Rwandan woman.  She died in Kigali.

On the same day,  five new cases of the virus were confirmed out of the 963 tests that were carried out in the country,

13 people recovered from the disease.

The new figures took the total number of confirmed cases to 4890. 

Out of these, 3,555 have recovered; and 1305 are the active ones.

From Friday's five new confirmed cases, 3 were detected in Kigali; 1 in Rubavu; and 1 in Musanze.
