Covid-19: Rwanda edges closer toward 500,000 tests

Four people tested positive for Covid-19 in Rwanda on Wednesday, September 30.

Kigali, Gatsibo, Nyamagabe and Rubavu districts confirmed a single Covid-19 case each.

On the same day, 29 people recovered from the pandemic.

The latest results were obtained from 2,087 tests conducted in the last 24 hours, the ministry said.

In total, Rwanda has carried out 495,793 tests of Covid-19.

For the last couple of weeks, the country has been recording moderate positive cases and many recoveries.

Since the outbreak of the pandemic in Rwanda by mid-March, the country has confirmed a total of 4,840 Covid-19 cases of whom 3,154 have already recovered.

The country’s Covid-19 death toll so far stands at 29 people.
