Rwanda records 8 more Covid-19 recoveries

8 more people recovered from Covid-19 in Rwanda on Tuesday, September 29, raising the tally of recoveries to 3,125.

On the same day, the country reported four new Covid-19 cases.

According to the Ministry of Health, of the new cases, three were detected in Kigali, while the remaining case was identified in Bugesera district, Eastern Province.

The latest results were obtained from 2,761 tests conducted in the last 24 hours, the ministry said.

In total, Rwanda has carried out 492,986 tests of Covid-19.

For the last couple of weeks, the country has been recording moderate positive cases and many recoveries.

Since the outbreak of the pandemic in Rwanda by mid-March, the country has confirmed a total of 4,836 Covid-19 cases of whom 3,125 have already recovered.

The country’s Covid-19 death toll so far stands at 29 people.
