Covid-19: Rwanda records 12 new cases

Eighteen more people recovered from Covid-19 in Rwanda on Monday, September 28, raising the tally of recoveries to 3,117.

On the same day, the country reported 12 new Covid-19 cases.

According to the Ministry of Health, of the new cases, nine were detected in Kigali, while three were identified in Kirehe district, Eastern Province.

The latest results were obtained from 1,283 tests conducted in the last 24 hours, the ministry said.

In total, Rwanda has carried out 490,225 tests of Covid-19.

For the last couple of weeks, the country has been recording moderate positive cases and many recoveries.

Since the outbreak of the pandemic in Rwanda by mid-March, the country has confirmed a total of 4,832 Covid-19 cases of whom 3,117 have already recovered.

The country’s Covid-19 death toll so far stands at 29 people.
