Covid-19: 13 more cases confirmed in Kigali

Rwanda confirmed 13 new Covid-19 cases on  Saturday, September 26, according to the daily update on the pandemic issued by the Ministry of Health. 

They were identified in Kigali, among high-risk groups.

However, in the update, the Ministry did not disclose the groups.  

On the same day, 11 people recovered from the pandemic.

The latest results were obtained from 1,894 tests conducted in the last 24 hours, the ministry said.

In total, Rwanda has carried out 486,735 tests of Covid-19.

For the last couple of weeks, the country has been recording moderate positive cases and many recoveries, leading to the easing of some Covid-19 directives.

Since the outbreak of the pandemic in Rwanda by mid-March, the country has confirmed a total of 4,811 Covid-19 cases of whom 3,091 have already recovered.

The country’s Covid-19 death toll so far stands at 29 people.
