FEATURED: Applications for the UK Government prestigious Chevening Scholarship Programme opened 6 September 2020
Monday, September 14, 2020

Applications for Chevening Scholarships to study in the UK are open between 6 September and 6 November 2020, with applications to be submitted via www.chevening.org/apply.

Chevening Scholarships are awarded to individuals who demonstrate leadership potential and have a strong academic background. The scholarship offers full financial support for future leaders to study for any eligible master’s degree at any UK university whilst also accessing a wide range of exclusive academic, professional, and cultural experiences.

Over the last 35 years, 50,000 outstanding professionals have had the opportunity to develop academically and professionally in the UK through Chevening. There are more than 1,500 scholarships on offer globally for the 2020/2021 academic year, which reinforces the UK’s ongoing commitment towards developing the leaders of tomorrow.

There is no such thing as a "typical” Chevening Scholar. We are looking for ambitious, professional, forward-thinking leaders from any walk of life.

If you are chosen for Chevening, you will receive a first-rate UK education, which can open doors in your career. You will also join the global Chevening Alumni network full of dynamic influencers who have Chevening experience and can offer mentorship, advice, and contacts.

Chevening Scholars share the best of their country with those they meet in the UK, and then share the best the UK has to offer when they return home. The role that the Chevening community plays in building bridges between countries is as important now as it has ever been.

The call for new applicants follows the selection of 12 scholars from Rwanda, who won an award to study at a UK university this year. Successful applicants have been sharing their stories through the #ChosenForChevening hashtag on Twitter and Instagram.
