Covid-19: Rwanda’s recoveries cross 2,500 as 94 more cases are recorded

Rwanda on Saturday, September 12, recorded 94 new Covid-19 recoveries, raising the tally of recovered cases to 2,544.

On the same day, 31 new Covid-19 cases were reported.

According to the Ministry of Health, of the new cases, 29 were detected among high-risk groups and contacts of confirmed cases, whereas other two cases were identified in Rubavu District, Western Province.

On Friday, the country had also reported many recoveries, 98, against 55 confirmed cases.

The latest results were obtained from 2,901 sample tests taken in the last 24 hours.

In total, Rwanda conducted 460,174 tests of the virus.

So far, since outbreak of the pandemic in the country in mid-March, Rwanda has recorded a total of 4,565 Covid-19 confirmed cases.

Rwanda’s Covid-19 death toll currently stands at 22 people.
