The Ben.

From "Igare” by Mico The Best to "Saa Moya” by Bruce Melodie and "Micro” by Davis D, raunchy lyrics that would be banned on radio stations in yesteryears are the trend in the music industry today.

Every artiste is trying to outdo one another by coming up with sexually laced lyrics that leave nothing to the imagination such as "Ntiza” by Mr Kagame and Bruce Melodie.

Not to be left out, one of Rwanda’s most popular artistes, The Ben, real name Benjamin Mugisha has also jumped on the ‘raunchy lyrics bandwagon’ by releasing his latest single, "Kola kola”, which is heavily laced with sexual lyrics.

The song which was released on Sunday was produced by producers Bob Bro and Element at Country records while the lyric video which is racking up views on Youtube, was produced by Kinyoni.

"Massive Announcement, my People. Hit the link in my bio and free your busy body,” The Ben urged the fans.

Though the singer is yet to release a video, the song’s suggestive poster can already give music lovers a glimpse of what it will be. The Ben, with his upper body naked is laying back with a similarly naked female.

"Bad by to another level, I love it, whatever you do, I like it, freaky freaky, bring that pillow, we are chilling till morning…I like what I see, touch, touch my body,” The Ben sings, moving away from his usual romantic but decent lyrics, living up to his ‘Tiger’ nickname.

The song is already promising to go viral with people already posting videos on Instagram and other platforms just the day it was released.

However, some YouTube viewers were wondering why some words are not appearing in the lyric video and not audible. Too explicit?

Speaking about the song in an interview with local media, The Ben said he first released the lyric video to prepare the ground for the actual visuals which will be released soon.

The song has a touch of element, who is fast becoming one of the most popular producers, behind songs such as Bruce Melodie’s "Henzapu”.

In a bid to boost the song, music lovers who will post their videos singing the song, "Kola kola” will stand a chance to win Rwf500,000 from Tecno Rwanda.

The singer recently signed a Rwf42m deal with Tecno Rwanda to promote Tecno’s Camon 15.

Contestants must tag @TecnoMobileRW and @TheBen3 and request their fans to like and comment.

The competition will end on September 12. The top 30 nominees will be selected from September 14 to 19, while the top 10 will be selected from September 21 to 27. The winners will be announced on September 29, 2020.
