DJ Pius, Bruce Melody drop new collab

DJ Pius has announced the release of his latest single, "Ubushyuhe, featuring R&B star Bruce Melody.

The deejay and singer teased the song across his social media channels earlier this week.

The anticipated collab was released this morning, July 2 at 10 a.m. (local time). 

Speaking about the song, DJ Pius, real name Pius Rickie Rukabuza, said: "It is a summer vibe track that will get everyone dancing.” 

The singer’s other new releases include, "Ubuzima bushira”, "Mfate moto” and "Homba homboka.”

Artistes in the fight against Covid-19 

Several Rwandan musicians have released numerous songs promoting social distancing, wearing of face masks, among many other measures. 

DJ Pius was among artistes who featured on the single, "Corona”, as part of their contribution towards the country’s efforts to create awareness and educate the public about the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Speaking about his other projects, the "Agatako” star said: "It’s not easy to release many songs during this pandemic, but as 1K Entertainment we are doing our best to keep our fans entertained and soon Amalon (who is signed under this label) will release a new song as well.”

He added that all deejays signed to his label,1K Entertainment, are also hosting online concerts to keep people entertained amidst the pandemic that, among other restrictions, include large gatherings such as concerts.
