Ibrahim Cyusa, a traditional singer and dancer, on Tuesday, May 12, released a new song titled, 'Umubabaro', which he says is based on a true story.

According to the singer, the song was inspired by a friend's heartbreak experience.

"The song is based on a true story; it's about a couple that was once in love, for several years, and then fell out of love. The lady had fallen in love with another man who was actually a colleague and workmate of her former lover."

The jilted lover, it turns out, is the one who requested Cyusa to compose the song.

"So I went ahead and wrote the song."

Before his European tour, earlier in March, Cyusa, and his Inkera traditional dance troupe released a song titled "Imparamba", which is still making waves.

Also still rocking the airwaves is the remix of "Muhoza wanjye” that he released on December 5, last year. And Cyusa is promising his fans even more new songs before this year ends.

"I have several other new songs coming up before this year ends for sure," he said, noting that he could not be precise on when exactly the next song will come because many factors determine that.
