At a time many people are still mourning the passing of DJ Miller those who loved him or his music have an opportunity to listen to his voice again following singer Nel Ngabo releasing a brand new song featuring the deceased Disco Jockey.

The Kina Music singer on Monday released the song titled ‘Boss’, whose audio was produced at the label by Producer Clement Ishimwe.

For many, the song will evoke emotions and sadness for his family, friends and relatives who are still grieving for the loss of the music man who passed on earlier this month while for others it is a lifetime tribute by Nel Ngabo, one of the artistes the befallen DJ had projects with.

At the time of his death, DJ Miller, who had previously done a number of songs with artistes, was recording new tracks with singers including Nel Ngabo and Christopher among others.

"I won’t forget that moment we had together in the studio while recording the song. The song will always remind me that time. It can’t easily be erased from my memory. Of course I had to release this song to honor him after holding discussions with his family,” Ngabo told The New Times in a telephone interview.

Ngabo revealed that he and Miller were planning to shoot the video for the song but the COVID-19 lockdown delayed it.

His manager, Clement Ishimwe, however, said they still have the plan to shoot it after the lockdown.

"We really liked this song even before we even dropped it. We had been discussing with Miller how we can do a video for it but unfortunately he died before we could. But that won’t stop us from continuing to work on the video project. There is a way we can use his images in the video as one way to honour him,” Ishimwe said.

‘Boss’ is not Miller’s only project he did at Kina Music records, having recorded another collaboration ‘Iri Joro ni Bae’ at the same studio with Dream Boys, Knowless Butera and Riderman.

Ishimwe added that the DJ had another unfinished music at his studio but it will most likely be archived since it was incomplete.

‘Boss’ is a property of DJ Miller and his family made sure it was uploaded on his YouTube channel. It had so been viewed by over 15, 000 people on YouTube in less than 24 hours and is accompanied by tribute messages in the comments section of the song.
