Tom Close has vowed to give his fans his very best when he does his maiden live stream show to through different social media platforms including YouTube and Instagram in a few days to come.

The medic and singer who is one of the pioneers of modern Rwandan music will be doing a show on line, an alternative many artistes have resorted to as music shows and sports activities remain on hold as the country continues to observe a lockdown.

"I am busy putting the pieces together in order to give an unforgettable show to my fans. My aim is to keep fans entertained at home as they embrace the stay at home measure and staying safe from COVID-19. The show will come with many surprises which fans should expect,” said Tom Close.

In an exclusive interview with The New Times, the artiste and medical professional said that the concert is slated for April 25.

In his living room, the ‘Sibeza’ hit maker will perform 12-15 songs in one hour. The performance will be streamed on platforms of different people including journalist Luckman Nzeyimana, Kadudu Masengesho and on MK1 TV, a YouTube channel.

Asked if he will include back-up or any other artistes, he revealed that he is still working on it.

According to government measures to mitigate coronavirus pandemic, the stay at home instruction provides that large gatherings are unauthorised until further notice.

Tom Close will be the third local artiste to throw a live stream show for music lovers since the lockdown crisis, others being Gospel star Adrien Niyonshuti and secular music star Bruce Melodie.

Due to the pandemic, several concerts and album launches, including that Igor Mabano, which was scheduled for March 21 were cancelled.
