FDLR travel bans are not enough

Editor,

I read in your paper that four members of the Democratic Forces for the Liberation of Rwanda (FDLR) are going to be subjected to travel bans and have their assets frozen.

This move has been long overdue. It is actually puzzling to see people who spearheaded the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi walking free in Europe.

One cannot think of indicting Bashir for crimes in Darfur while failing to arrest a genocidaires at his or her doorstep.

All those genocidaires living in European countries, should not only be banned from travelling, but also tried for the crimes they committed in Rwanda.
