GASOGI United will be looking for a crucial away victory when they face Musanze on Saturday as they step up their quest for a top five finish in the 2019-20 Rwanda Premier League.

Guy Bukasa’s side are into their maiden season in the local topflight football.

Ahead of the encounter at Ubworoherane Stadium, in Musanze District, Gasogi are 9th on the 16-team table with 29 points, six adrift of fifth-placed SC Kiyovu and nine of the top four.

Speaking to this publication on Friday, head coach Bukasa emphasised Saturday game’s importance, noting that the target is to finish among the top five this season and three points away to Musanze would be a ‘huge boost’ to their quest.

"We need to have an aggressive approach to the game, it is a must-win if we are to finish inside the top five,” said Bukasa. "It is going to be a tricky task, but I have confidence in my men for the challenge.

He added: "Every game – of the remaining seven – is very crucial. Every detail matters.”

Gasogi look to bounce back after held by Sunrise to a 1-all draw on Tuesday, while 12th-placed Musanze are fresh from a 2-0 midweek win over bottom side Gicumbi. The latter face second-placed Rayon Sports at Kigali Stadium.

In other matches, fourth-placed Mukura host Bugesera at Huye Stadium, while struggling Heroes FC will be up against Sunrise at Bugesera Stadium.

All the games get underway at 3pm.
